As he rehearses a new children’s show at the Royal Opera House, the baritone recalls how he put lockdown to good use bringing Black history to Instagram

Not bad for a lockdown diversion; but clearly there was, from the start, serious intent. “I became more and more determined to tell as many stories as possible,” he says, “I feel I learned a lot about how to develop a language that means that we can have these conversations. The playfulness of the photographs is disarming.
