The arena could have sold out '10 times over'
Fans of Peter Kay have called for the comedian to add extra dates in Nottingham as part of his long-awaited new tour - after tickets sold out quickly. He will perform at the city's Motorpoint Arena on July 14 and 15 next year in a nationwide return to stand-up.
The Motorpoint Arena tweeted just after 1pm to say both shows had sold out. "Thank you for your patience during this incredibly busy sale," the tweet said."Due to unprecedented demand we could have sold out the venue 10 times over. We understand there'll be disappointed fans this morning, however please only buy tickets from reputable sites."
@ReekEmma commented: "Really hoping you add extra dates to Nottingham!" @Rachy0812 said: "Please add another one in Nottingham."
