Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has won the 2022-23 Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) men’s Players’ Player of the Year award. Aston Villa forward Rachel Daly has been named winner of the PFA women’s Players’ Player of the Year. ’s Euro 2022 triumph, Daly won the Women’s Super League Golden Boot after scoring 22 goals in 22 appearances for Aston Villa. The 31-year-old, who joined Villa from Houston Dash ahead of the 2022-23 season, helped guide the club to fifth in the WSL — their highest-ever finish.
Daly claimed the award ahead of nominees Sam Kerr, Ona Batlle, Frida Maanum, Guro Reiten and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw. Saka, meanwhile, enjoyed his best individual season to date with 14 goals and 11 assists in 38 Premier League appearances for Arsenal and claimed the Young Player of the Year award for the first time having been nominated for the fourth successive season.
