, Foden explained how his manager told him to play in a certain way.
“The manager told me to play more inside today, in between the lines, it’s a role that I enjoy,” he said.“I managed to pick up a good space [for Alvarez’s goal], Kovacic saw me and I’ve seen Julian early and he has this instinct for goal.” It seems Pep might finally be getting the best out of the talisman who has had to fight to earn his place in the City starting eleven.
