Phillip Schofield's statement in full as he makes bombshell comment on Holly friendship
Following Thursday's reports that This Morning duo Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are "barely speaking" off-camera at the moment and have "become more distant", last night saw 61-year-old presenter Phil make an official statement.
He continued: "We’re the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone. Phillip famously described long-time pal as his "rock" when he came out as gay live on This Morning in 2020. They added that the rift was "clear" to people working with the duo on This Morning, saying: "Professionally you would have no idea there was anything going on because on camera they are acting exactly the same, but behind the scenes their relationship has cooled."
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the author offered her thoughts on Phil's body language seeming "like Harry at the Coronation".
