Today marks one year since Olivia Pratt-Korbel was shot dead in her own home
Flower tributes and messages left at the scene of the shooting in Dovecot, Liverpool, for Olivia Pratt Korbel.
The city went into mourning after Olivia, aged nine, was shot in her Dovecot home one year ago on August 22, 2022. In the initial aftermath of Thomas Cashman's fatal shots into the home on Kingsheath Avenue police put a cordon in place, and it wasn't long before friends, family, neighbours and complete strangers arrived at the road to leave their own tributes to little Olivia.
Tributes were also left under a tree just a stones throw away from Kingsheah Avenue, which is now known as"Olivia's Tree". On the day of the nine-year-old's funeral the gates of her school, St Margaet Mary's Catholic School, were covered in pink hearts as a touching tribute to her.
