Michael Seddon escaed from prison after starting a relationship with a guard
Police have released a new picture of a man who has been on the run for a decade - ten years after his first mugshot.
He was jailed in 2011, and met prison officer Erica Whittingham, previously of Uttoxeter. The pair started a relationship, and Whittingham helped Seddon plan his escape, reports the Liverpool Echo.Seddon left a decoy in his cell to trick guards before meeting Erica Whittingham who was waiting in her car outside HMP Sudbury. While on the run, Whittingham remained in contact with him, meeting Seddon in hotels across England and buying him gifts, such as clothes, over a six month period.
