A40 plane emergency: Aircraft lands on Gloucestershire road in rush hour after suspected engine failure
touched down on the A40 Golden Valley bypass, near CheltenhamEmergency services attended, shutting the road in both directions between the A417 and J11 of the M5 for two hours.A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: “We were called shortly before 6pm today with a report a light aircraft had landed on the A40 Golden Valley.
“No one was injured and it is understood that no other vehicles were involved. We remain at the scene while work takes place to reopen the road.”is currently CLOSED in both directions from Cheltenham/Arle Court Rbt to Gloucester/Elmbridge Court Rbt.There is no access from M5 J11 towards Gloucester at present.
