Plans for baby loss memorial garden in a Yorkshire park have been rejected as they didn't adhere to the council's green policies
The council’s Green Space Memorial Policy dictates that memorials must fit the surrounding area, and have a common appearance and style.
The project was proposed by residents Andrew and Donna Clifford and Bethan Morse, who have all experienced baby loss. The plan has also been supported by members of Friends of Sandall Park, the volunteer group which maintains the area. The Cliffords proposed the plans after they successfully created a similar garden in Scunthorpe. At a fundraiser walk through the park on Saturday, they raised over £600.
