The closures are down to increased costs of energy and food as well as VAT increases
In just three months, businesses have shut down and hundreds of people have lost jobs. The Director of the Northern Ireland Takeaway Association, Michael Henderson, has called for government support to keep food outlets afloat.
"Unfortunately these warnings were ignored, and this has led us to the devastating amount of closures we see today. “We are receiving heartbreaking calls every day from business owners across all backgrounds who are struggling and fighting to hold on to their business which they have worked tirelessly to create," he added.
