Police were called to a report of an 'unexploded device' in south Shropshire this afternoon.
But when officers from Bishop's Castle got to the scene in Clungunford at 3.50pm they found it was a"torpedo-shaped" glass bottle.
A spokesperson for South Shropshire Safer Neighbourhood Teams said:"Safer Neighbourhood Officers from Bishop's Castle were called out to what was reported as an unexploded device in Clungunford at around 3.50pm today.Officers put it down to a call made with good intent.
