Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to after an officer was assaulted at a football match. A number of criminal incidents were reported around the Sheffield United v Nottingham Forest match on May 14.
Two men, who officers believe are Nottingham Forest fans, were reported to have taken part in disorder which saw a bottle thrown at a police officer, spitting, and threatening behaviour in and around the ground. South Yorkshire Police said a number of lines of enquiry, including CCTV checks, had been carried out and that they were now in a position to appeal to the public for information about the two men pictured.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the force via live chat, its online portal or by calling 101 and quoting incident number 240 of September 6, 2022. People can access the online portal and live chat via www.southyorks.police.uk/contact-us/report-something/.Alternatively, people can give information anonymously to Crimestoppers via www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555 111. Nottinghamshire Police also shared the appeal on its social media channels.
