Police believe the dog is local to the Burnley area and could have escaped from a nearby house.
An appeal has been launched to find the owner of a dog that was seized after it attacked a woman in Burnley.Despite the dog being chipped, there are no owner details. Police would like to speak to the owner in connection with the incident.A spokesperson for the force said: "We are asking for your help in identifying the owner of this Belgian Malinois that was seized after it attacked a female in Tesco carpark in Burnley on the evening of Tuesday 24th October 2023.
"The dog is chipped however there are no keeper details associated with this and we would like to speak with the owner about the incident."
