'You will never hear from them again and you will be out of pocket'
Police are warning everyone with a mobile phone about a text message that will leave people out of pocket. The scam text message is currently doing the rounds in Greater Manchester.
The scam then goes on to ask the victim to borrow some money and says they will pay it back when they get paid. Greater Manchester Police have now shared a post about the scam, saying that it leaves people 'out of pocket' as they never hear from them again. Sharing a screenshot of the text message, GMP said: "People have started receiving text messages like this. They will then ask to lend some money from you, explaining they will pay you back when they get paid.
