Police have launched an appeal
A police investigation is underway after a woman was reportedly raped near a golf course in Blackpool on Friday .
The victim is being supported by specially trained officers. A 56-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and released under investigation while enquiries continue.Police patrols have been increased in the area to provide reassurance to residents who may be concerned about the incident. Police are also conducting house-to-house enquiries.
