A woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving at the scene
A woman has been released under investigation after a BMW was ploughed into a shop in Tameside, causing the entire building to crumble.
Dramatic pictures from the scene showed how the BMW had become wedged in the property, with debris and heaps of bricks piled around it. Horrifying CCTV footage shared with the Manchester Evening News also captured the moment the crash happened. A woman managed to escape from the car and was checked over by paramedics before being arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taken into custody.
