Horner spoke only to confirm his identity and enter his plea
A police officer has admitted to sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl from Rushden. Luke Christopher Horner, 24, an officer with Thames Valley Police, recorded the act on his victim’s phone, a court heard.
A second count, of making an indecent image of a child, was removed from the indictment. Prosecutor Ben Gow said this offence formed part of the sexual activity.Mr Gow also added the defendant recorded the act on his victim’s phone. He said: “I understand that the pleas are entered on the basis he did record [the sexual activity] and the phone was in his hand.
Lead Investigator - Detective Sergeant Sarah Osborne from Northamptonshire Police said: “First of all, I want to thank the family of the young girl in this case who put their trust in us to investigate it and bring Luke Horner to justice. "He is a disgrace to the uniform and I am glad that he will now go to prison and never be allowed to call himself a police officer ever again. Finally, I would like to thank Thames Valley Police for their support and assistance with our investigation.”
