It WAS a stuffed sock, but the contents of the sock were illegal
A drug dealer with bulging trousers had £2,000 of cash and cocaine concealed down the front of his pants.
Inside the sock was £610 cash and 35 bags of white powder. The drugs were tested and found to be cocaine with a street value of £1,400.Preston Crown Court heard Durbala, of Junction Road, Northampton, said he was holding the drugs for another man when they were stopped by the police. He said he played no further part in drug dealing but admitted possession with intent to supply - saying the supply was to pass the drugs back to his uncle.
The prosecution accepted his account that he was holding the drugs for the other man when they were stopped in Leyland. The case was delayed due to barrister strikes.
