Officers were spotted by workers in the area
Nottinghamshire Police has issued a statement after a building on a Nottingham industrial estate was 'surrounded' by officers. Neighbours and workers on the Bar Lane industrial estate in Basford spotted officers outside a dilapidated building near the entrance to the estate at around 8am on Thursday, July 20.
Police said the officers had been carrying out a warrant at the premises. A spokesperson explained the officers had not found what they had been searching for at the property. Jonathan Makuwira, who works at Wiloks African Village on the industrial estate, said his boss told him about the search. "It happened just before I got into work, but I was told police officers surrounded the empty building but no one knew what was going on," Mr Makuwira said.A neighbour on Bar Lane, who did not want to be named, saw three officers on one side of the building "looking inside and talking to each other".
