'We wanted to do something a bit different to thank our customers for all the support'
Pastéis Lisboa, located on Byres Road, will be handing out free samples of Pastel de Nata on the hour, every hour, from 9am to 5pm as the bakery celebrates its first birthday on Friday, August 11.
As well as selling the traditional version of the pastries, the bakery also sells a vegan version and seasonal variations throughout the year.Speaking to the Glasgow Times ahead of the opening last year, Emma said: "There’s nothing comparable."It’s a known product, people know it because of holidays to Portugal and with it being in supermarkets.
Over the past year, the bakery has regularly sold out, with Emma and Sebastian saying they wanted to thank customers for their support over the last year by giving out free Pastel de Nata.
