Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has said he would not have agreed to allowing Liverpool to score after Luis Diaz strike was disallowed due to a communication error by VAR
Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has said it is unlikely his team would have allowed Liverpool to score should it have been suggested as a solution to the VAR controversy of Luis Diaz's disallowed goal.
There has been debate over whether the situation could have been resolved shortly after it emerged the call from the VAR that Diaz was onside hadn't been properly communicated to Hooper, notably by the referee explaining what had happened to both managers and inviting Tottenham to allow Liverpool to score.
"It's different if it's something clear. It was a bad error through a lack of communication but it wasn't something that was easily explainable. If it was easily explainable, I would assume there would have been more uproar than there was."
