Warren Feeney last week hit out at the 'crazy' money being thrown around the Irish League
Warren Feeney has hit back at Stephen Baxter as the debate over inflated transfer fees in the Irish League continues.
Crues boss Baxter appeared to reference such a deal when asked about Feeney's 'crazy money' comments during the week.“The market is very inflated and the Irish League, which is predominantly part-time, can’t sustain the amounts of money that are being paid in transfers." He said: "We are continuing to look to add to the squad and that search continues. We don't want to bring anyone in for the sake of it but our attentions have moved to other areas where I think we are a wee bit short."It has to be right for what we need and we won't sign players for the sake of it. We have irons in the fire, and we are looking at players who would be more than capable of playing here.
“If a player is under contract, if somebody comes in for any of my 10 best players at this football club, they will pay huge amounts of money for them.
