.alfaromeoorlen is very keen to give TPourchaire an F1 outing in an FP1 session this year. But the Formula2 ace says he understands that organising this is not easy. Story:
The Alfa Romeo academy member, who is currently third in the F2 standings, was due to take part in FP1 at Le Castellet at this weekend’s French Grand Prix.
But the Frenchman says he would “prefer to concentrate on F2 and do only F2 or F1 in the weekend” despite difficulties finding an alternative slot. “But I saw the interview, normally it was planned to drive in Le Castellet, but fortunately or unfortunately there is the F2 weekend now. “I can understand it’s difficult because it’s not easy, there are only two or three tracks maximum where it’s possible, but I know there is a Pirelli test, there are weather issues as well.
