Preston Orpheus Choir is back with an evening of French music 🇫🇷🎼
Choir spokesperson Mick Gardner said: “Like all choirs, we had to suspend ‘proper’ rehearsals during Covid, and finally managed to restart in September 2021 under the baton of new Musical Director, Nathan Smith.
“For a variety of reasons, membership numbers had declined. However in just over 12 months, the choir has seen numbers gradually increase and is very nearly back to where it was before Covid.”Talking about the upcoming Penwortham performance, Mick said: “The evening will feature an ambitious programme of music by French composers.
“The audience can expect to hear works by Widor, Poulenc, Franck, Bizet and Fauré including his sublime Requiem Mass.An Evening of French Music by Preston Orpheus Choir will take place at St Leonard’s Church at 7.30pm on Saturday 12 November.New members are always welcome at the Choir, and details can be found on the
