Freemasons charity Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) was founded 21 years ago and the Preston & Chorley Group of TLC was set up 11 years ago.
Freemasons charity Teddies for Loving Care was founded 21 years ago and the Preston & Chorley GroupPreston and Chorley Freemasons quickly set to work with Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust which manage Royal Preston and Chorley & South Ribble Hospital and teddy bears were given to the A&E departments for children who were admitted.
The teddy provides comfort and acts as a distraction while the medical team do their work. Sometimes the doctors and nurses use the teddy to show a child what is to be done to them.
