If you have a three-year-old, this also means that primary school applications for your little one are about to open. Mums, dads and carers will need to apply for a place ahead of their child starting reception in September 2024.
To apply for a primary school place for your child, you will need to go via your local council's website. Liverpool City Council and St Helens Council do not give specific dates but most councils open primary school applications at the beginning of September, and close mid-January.
