The teacher, who mainly cares for five year olds, called out parents following a 'infuriating' situation during class.
Sharing a picture of the corner of her classroom, she showed how it had been trashed with toys by a three year old who threw a tantrum because she didn't want to have a nap, the Mirror reports.
Writing on Reddit, the teacher captioned the image: "The parents insist the child's behaviour is not the problem." The post has so far garnered 3000 comments, with many people being divided.Read more: Death of dad, 38, in Rutherglen incident being treated as murder Some sympathised with the teacher, with one writing: "I thought that was the destruction by many, dang that was one kid?!" A second remarked: "Those parents are going to have a rude awakening in the child's teen years if they don't get them help now." And a third said: "Difficult to deal with so mom and dad throw all responsibility on you."
But others were more sympathetic. "There are a myriad of factors that can play into a child reacting in this manner. In my experience one of them is often a stressful home life," one former teacher noted. "A child this young is only just learning how to regulate feelings and if their home life isn't settled or safe then they act out bc they don't know how to talk through what's actually bothering them. It doesn’t even have to be outright abuse or anything.
And a parent candidly confessed: "I have a 3 year old who is going through some really bad temper issues. He doesn't wreck the whole room, but things are definitely flying sometimes. It's really hard on us because our oldest never had any of this and after trying every trick of the book, we kinda hope it just moves over. Meanwhile, lots of love and patience... Sorry I had to vent this. Hardest moment I have as a parent. Everything went so smooth before.
