On Thursday, Buckingham Palace issued a rare statement on the Queen’s health saying that her doctors “are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.” William’s wife, Kate Middleton, did not travel to Scotland and stayed behind at their home in Windsor, England—possibly to look after their three children.
