Prince Harry’s surprise return to the UK has ‘stunt written all over it’, a royal expert said
The Duke of Sussex’s attendance at London’s High Court was a “sure-fire way” to ensure his case against Associated Newspapers got “serious publicity”, commentator Daniela Elser added.
Harry flew to London on a solo visit on Monday for the four-day hearing of his privacy case against Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers over allegations of unlawful information gathering. He was also pictured in court on Tuesday. She went on to explain that Monday’s court session was only a preliminary hearing and Harry was not there to give evidence - so he could have used remote access to watch the proceedings online from “the comfort of his Montecito meditation yurt”.
She said: "All of this Harry may have been aware of when he made the decision to return to the UK, meaning he possibly booked his tickets knowing that he would be making a splash in London while his father was trying his hand at regal statesmanship for the first time."
