BREAKING: Home Secretary Priti Patel has signed an order to extradite Julian Assange to the US to face espionage charges.

The Australian national had sought refuge in the country’s London HQ to avoid being sent to Sweden to face rape allegations. His lawyers have argued the conditions he would be subjected to in a US prison amount to torture and extradition should be blocked because it would breach his human rights and on the grounds he would be a suicide risk.
‘Extradition requests are only sent to the Home Secretary once a judge decides it can proceed after considering various aspects of the case.
