Prolific shoplifter banned from area of city after stealing £5,000 of goods from retail park
A 'prolific' shoplifter has been banned from entering an area of Cheshire for five years after being caught stealing £5,000 worth of goods.
As per the terms of the order, Fennell is prevented from entering an area covering the retail park for the next five years. He also must not conceal items in bags or on his person and must leave any retail premises when asked by security or staff.He has been warned that he could face a penalty of five years in jail if he breaches the conditions. Cheshire Police described Fennell as a ‘prolific offender’ with 'no regard for the criminal justice system'.
“His offending has increased dramatically and despite multiple offers of support, he has refused to engage with officers, persistently showing no consideration for the impact his behaviour has had on others.
