Animal Rising protestors fail in bid to stop Ayr's Scottish Grand National as police swoop
A group of protestors bidding to stop the Scottish Grand National have been thwarted by police this afternoon.
The protest group Animal Rising was behind the stunt - just a week on from attempting to halt the Grand National at Aintree. Posting on Twitter, Animal Rising said: "25 supporters of Animal Rising have made it onto the track at the Scottish Grand National, to put their bodies in the way of harm, and protect animals.Their posted added that "last week at Aintree was just the beginning. The Summer of Animal Rising is upon us."
