Officers were called to a report of the sudden death of a man in his 40s in the Mervue Street area, in the north of the city, on Friday, December 30.
It is understood there was a police presence in the area throughout Friday. Police said an update "will follow in due course".A PSNI spokesman said: "Police attended a report of the sudden death of a man in his 40s in the Mervue Street area of north Belfast yesterday, Friday 30th December.
