A pub just an hour's drive away from Liverpool city centre has been named among the best in the UK for its Sunday lunch.
Known locally as 'The Chum', it's based in an old schoolhouse which was converted into a pub in the 1980s, Cheshire Live reports. The venue is noted for its dedication to tradition, with the crest and motto of local nobility the Marquis of Cholmondeley 'cassis tutissima virtus' displayed on the menu.
The popular pub focuses on locally sourced ingredients, and offers a decent selection of game dishes. Starters are varied, with pheasant goujons, seafood sharing platters, a pint of prawns and more available to choose from.
