The community-run rock pub has closed its doors citing rising cost
The Sir Charles Napier, in Limbrick, Blackburn announced its closure earlier this month, in another blow to the town's hospitality businesses. LancsLive have previously reported on residents' thoughts of the town and its nightlife, with many saying that it's virtually non-existent, aside from live music events at the Napier.
Natasha told LancsLive: "The Napier was a great inclusive place for emos, alternative people and anyone who was into rock music. There was gigs and open mic nights and there was the birthday bash for one of the staff members. Rich Davenport is a stand-up comedian and musician and has gigged all over Lancashire throughout his career, including at the Sir Charles Napier. Rich said: "I've actually played there as a musician a couple of times since 2007, and it's going to be a huge loss from that point of view, as it was such a fantastic venue.
