found that 24 per cent of those who rent their home or are repaying a mortgage are paying more than they were at the start of September.
Young people have been most hit by the increase in housing costs, with 39 per cent of those aged 18 to 24 already paying more while just 14 per cent of the over-65s. London and Yorkshire, where almost a third of respondents said their costs were up, are the most-affected areas.
