The last known photograph of the Queen was taken on the day she appointed Liz Truss Prime Minister at her Scottish residency.She died at the age of 96 on Thursday, with her family rushing to be by her bedside in Aberdeenshire.
The Queen had previously decided to stay in Scotland instead of returning down south to welcome the incoming leader due to her mobility issues. "Ms Truss accepted Her Majesty's offer and kissed hands upon her appointment as Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury."
