▪️ Mourners travelling to London to watch the Queen’s funeral face disruption this morning after several train services have been cancelled or delayed

The Queen’s funeral: Mourners face travel disruption after trains to Paddington and Windsor are cancelledMembers of the public on a Elizabeth Line train at standstill outside Royal Oak station in London, as all railway lines between Slough and Paddington are blocked due to damage to overhead electric wires face disruption this morning after several train services have been cancelled or delayed.

This is disrupting journeys for mourners attempting to travel to London or Windsor from Reading or Heathrow Airport – and affecting services run by GWR, Heathrow Express services and the Elizabeth line. GWR apologised to customers in a statement, saying: “We are very sorry for the disruption this morning, and are working hard to get services running as soon as possible.”One person said: “Myself and many others have been stuck on train for an hour and a half outside Paddington with zero action to allow people to attend the Queen’s funeral. GWR are incompetent.”
