A unique dining destination is reopening after a change in ownership and a big refurbishment. The 1950s American Diner, in Albert village near Ashby, Leicestershire, is welcoming customers once again after being closed for around half a year.
All of the equipment has been replaced, from the coffee machine to the cooker and extraction system, and the back rooms have been stripped out and a new food store and pot wash area has been created. New electrical wiring has also been installed and the plumbing has been re-done. The menu includes 'signature burgers' including a classic diner burger, barbecue brisket burger, and a chicken and waffle burger . You'll find 'dirty dogs' with New York beef sabrett hot dogs and Mid West beechwood smoked hot dogs available with a variety of toppings including pulled pork and chilli beef.
