A building was daubed with racist graffiti and offensive drawings between Friday night and Saturday morning

Cops are probing a hate crime after racist graffiti was spray painted onto a building at a Scots playing field.

The sickening slur was scrawled in red paint alongside offensive drawings, including a crude swastika, at the Linlithgow Bridge playing fields this weekend.Officers are appealing for information after the Thistle changing room building was targeted in the incident between Friday evening and Saturday morning.

A photograph of the vandalism show two racial slurs daubed on the wale alongside the vulgar drawings.Top news stories today Police Constable Anthony Hunt said: “Due to the nature of the graffiti, we are treating this as a hate crime. “Enquiries are ongoing and we are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who is able to identify those responsible, to contact Police Scotland by calling 101 and using incident number 1629 of June 25, or call charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
