What a bizarre situation - a delivery driver accused the couple of stealing a bag which led to police having to look around their flat!

Joanna Ambrose, of Bucknalls Close in Watford, says she was “minding her own business” at home with her partner before a turn of events led to them being questioned by police on Friday evening .

She claims that the driver initially went to the address mistakenly and told them the delivery was for them, but she explained to him they hadn’t ordered anything and the driver left. The frustrated woman said: “I heard him walk away and within a few seconds he came back and said you’ve taken the items, you’ve stolen them.”

She said: “Voices were raised. At this point I was annoyed, my partner was annoyed, because we were just watching the Commonwealth Games and cooking our chips.”
