Rabbi Matondo has been backed to return to the Rangers starting lineup., former Gers defender Alan Hutton has been impressed by Matondo’s recent performances for the Light Blues and likened him to Ryan Kent.
The 22-year-old started his first game for the Glasgow club since November 2022 in their 2-1 Viaplay Cup win over Greenock Morton.was included in the squad for Wednesday’s Champions League play-off game against PSV Eindhoven where he came off the bench to score the Gers’ second goal and help keep the tie all square for the away leg next week.
Michael Beale named a heavily changed side for the game against Morton on Saturday including the youngster and B team star Johnly Yfeko.
