A VIOLENT rapist has been jailed for six years.
Robert Martin struck at a flat in Shawlands on February 23, 2020.included the 31 year-old biting the woman, grabbing her by the wrists, pinning her down as well as pulling off some of her clothes.Judge Douglas Brown told him he had used his"physical strength" to overpower the woman, who had given"no reason" to think she was interested in him."The woman's distress recalling the incident at trial was obvious.
The defence advocate added:"He has a supportive family and friends including a partner. All of those people are here in court."
