As the northern hemisphere gets colder and darker with winter creeping in, leaving it all behind and heading to a place where it is spring sounds very tempting.An Adélie penguin apparently had this exact idea when he threw the towel in and left his home in Antarctica – where temperatures are currently around -40°C.
He was found by local Harry Singh on Wednesday, on a beach just south of Christchurch city in New Zealand – a whole 1,864 miles away from his natural habitat.
