Man United suffer huge blow as Rasmus Hojlund's back injury 'more serious' than first feared
announced that the player was nursing a 'small issue' which he picked up in pre-season training for the Serie A side.to get back to full match fitness., Hojlund's back problem is a more serious issue than United let on.
The news outlet has claimed that Hojlund was sent for an MRI scan after his niggle was picked up during his medical.And this revealed a stress response hotspot in the youngster's back, which can lead to stress fractures. Marcus Rashford was ruled out for over two months in the 2019-20 season after suffering a double stress fracture.
Though United are confident that they can nurse Hojlund back to full fitness, however they are keen to keep him out of action for a longer period so that he can recover quicker. United are also adamant there is no fundamental issue with the player's setback, with the centre-forward just needing to rest.
