The midfielder has arrived to reinforce the ranks as United aim to recover from early season losses to key figures.

Reading kid Jack Senga says the chance to shine in the men's game sold him on a loan move north of the border. The 19-year-old today became Ayr United's 12th signing of a whirlwind summer for the Honest Men.

The powerful midfielder has been drafted in to bolster Ayr's dwindling numbers in the centre of the park, which have been hit by early season injuries to Andy Murdoch and Ben Dempsey and the sudden departure of Olly Pendlebury earlier this week. He told the Ayrshire Post: "Being at Reading has been a great learning experience for me - the Academy setup has always been to a very high standard and you're constantly up against very good players there. But I'm up for the challenge of coming here and testing myself at this level of the game.
