Emergency Services were called to the scene around 8am
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service have attended a fire at at a power station in Co Antrim.
Seven fire appliances were tasked to the scene of a fire at Kilroot Power Station on the Larne Road inA NIFRS spokesperson said: "Firefighters are currently in attendance at a fire at a commercial premises. The incident is ongoing."7 Fire Appliances are in attendance- 1 from Larne, 1 from Glengormley, 1 from Carrickfergus, 1 from Whitehead, 1 from Ballyclare and 2 from Whitla."
A spokesperson for Kilroot Power Station owners EPUKI thanked the fire service for their work and said that return to service checks were now underway. "We would like to thank the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service for its quick response to a minor and localised fire at Kilroot Power Station this morning.
"Our engineers are carrying out return to service checks which are expected to be completed shortly.“
