The remains were discovered by an author researching the murder of Keith Bennett
Police have been digging on Saddleworth Moor for murder victim Keith Bennett after reports of human remains being found. Police are treating the discovery, reportedly a skull, with caution.
Keith, 12, was snatched 58-years-ago by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley and the case has never been resolved. In a statement today Greater Manchester Police said: “We have always said that GMP would act on any significant information which may lead to the recovery of Keith and reunite him with his family.
