People living in a Leeds suburb plagued with violence have defended their area

and said 'there's nothing wrong with it'.

LeedsLive visited Beeston and the streets under the order to talk to residents about what it's really like to live there. We asked them if the area as bad as the police made it out to be and whether they feel safe living there. One resident on Tempest Road, named Gwen, said: "I've lived in Beeston, North Leeds, and some of the leafy suburbs, this city has some of the most deprived and most affluent areas and some are worse than others

Another resident, who said she was near the area where the incident happened, said while the area may have its issues, it is a community.
