Police were called earlier this morning
Residents have said they are "worried" after a man suffered a serious assault earlier in Nottingham city centre. Officers were called to Huntingdon Street, Nottingham, at around 7.55am on Friday morning where a man was later taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
An eyewitness told Nottinghamshire Live that up to seven police vehicles were at the scene shortly after the incident. Now, residents and passers by have expressed their feelings on the incident, with one man stating that the large presence of police in the area "happens all the time." "I was here at 10am, there was a few more [police cars]." Another resident, who wished to remain anonymous, added: “I’m not sure what has happened, I was just walking from town when I saw it.
Police believe that this is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the wider public. Chief Superintendent Suk Verma, Head of Local Policing for Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We responded very quickly to this incident and arrested two suspects nearby.
